Was alarmed to find one of our current Ministers in charge of two critical economic portfolio had not graduated from high school. More to the point virtually not one technologist in all our current crop of parliamentarians. Most having come to power as politicians and apparatchicks. ‘ Vote for the person who promises least – they will be the least disappointing’
I should be old enough to know that politician’s promises are totally ephemeral. Last Federal Election seduced into voting Labor by their promise to look after the environment; Create an organisation to combat political corruption; Interrupt the endless rich getting rich and the poor getting poorer. It was all a lie. My next votes will be to a good independent with our two major parties placed last on the ballot. ‘We gaol the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office’
